How to Create and Use Contract Templates in AiSign

Creating a Contract Template

Step 1: Navigate to the Template Tab

  • Log in to AiSignand go to the ‘Template’ tab on the main menu.
  • Upload Your Document:
    • Drag and dropyour document file into the designated area.
    • Or click ‘Upload’to select a file from your computer.

Step 2: Enter Template Details

  • Template Name: Provide a descriptive name for your template.
  • Number of Recipients: Specify how many people need to sign the document.
  • Optional Email Title and Message:
    • Email Title: Customize the subject line for the email that will be sent to signers.
    • Messaggio: Add a personalized message for the recipients.

Step 3: Proceed to the Editor

  • Click ‘Continue’to move to the template editor.

Step 4: Add Fields to Your Document

  • Drag and Drop Fields:
    • In the editor, select the required fields (e.g., signature, date, initials) from the toolbar.
    • Drag each field to the appropriate location on your document.
  • Assign Fields to Recipients:
    • For multi-recipient documents:
      • Click on ‘Placeholder 1’at the top of the field options.
      • Select ‘Placeholder 2’, ‘Placeholder 3’, etc., from the dropdown menu to assign fields to different recipients.
    • Repeat the process for each recipient.

Step 5: Finalize the Template

  • After placing all necessary fields, click ‘Continue’to save your template.

Using Your Template

Step 6: Select and Use Your Template

  • Nel ‘Template’tab, find the template you want to use.
  • Click ‘Use’next to the template.

Step 7: Enter Signer Details

  • Signer Information:
    • Input the namee email address for each signer.
  • Optional Email Title and Message:
    • Customize the email subject and message if needed.

Step 8: Review and Add Additional Fields (Optional)

  • Click ‘Continue’to go to the editor.
  • Pre-Populated Fields: The document will display all the fields you added in the template.
  • Add More Fields: If necessary, drag additional fields onto the document.

Step 9: Send the Document

  • After reviewing, click ‘Continue’.
  • A confirmation pagewill appear, indicating that the document has been sent to the recipients.
