How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication in AiSign

Enhancing the security of your AiSign account is crucial to protect your sensitive documents and personal information. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second form of verification when logging in. This guide will show you how to set up 2FA in AiSign using email notifications, text messages, or Google Authenticator.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Log In to Your AiSign Account

• Open your web browser and navigate to AiSign’s login page.
• Enter your email address e password, then click on the “Log In”

Step 2: Access “My Settings”

• Once logged in, look at the top of the screen for the “My Settings”
• Click on “My Settings” to access your account settings.

Step 3: Navigate to “Security Settings”

• On the My Settings page, scroll down to find the “Security Settings”
• This section is located near the “Timezone & Language”

Step 4: Choose Your Two-Factor Authentication Method

Under Security Settings, you have three options to set up Two-Factor Authentication:

1. Email Notifications
2. Text Messages (SMS)
3. Google Authenticator

Option 1: Enable Email Notifications

• Step 4A: Locate the “Email Verification”
• Step 4B: Toggle the switch to “On” to enable email notifications.
• Step 4C: A confirmation message will appear stating that email verification is enabled.
• Note: When logging in, you’ll receive an email with a verification code to complete the login process.

Option 2: Enable Text Messages (SMS)

• Step 4A: Locate the “SMS Verification”
• Step 4B: If you have already verified your phone number with AiSign, you can skip to Step 4D.
  • If you haven’t verified your phone number:
    • Step 4C: Click on “Set Up”next to SMS Verification.
    • Enter your mobile phone number in the provided field and click on “Send Code”.
    • You’ll receive a text message with a verification code.
    • Enter the verification code into the prompt on AiSign and click “Verify”.
  • Step 4D: Toggle the “SMS Verification” switch to “On” to enable text message verification.
  • Note: When logging in, a verification code will be sent to your phone via text message.

Option 3: Set Up Google Authenticator

• Step 4A: Locate the “Google Authenticator”
• Step 4B: Click on “Set Up”next to Google Authenticator.
• Step 4C: A QR code will appear on the screen.
• Step 4D: On your mobile device, download and open the Google Authenticator
  • For iOS:Download from the App Store
  • For Android: Download from Google Play Store
• Step 4E: In the Google Authenticator app, tap on the “+” icon to add a new account.
• Step 4F: Select “Scan a QR code” and scan the QR code displayed on AiSign.
• Step 4G: The app will generate a 6-digit verification code for AiSign.
• Step 4H: Enter this code into the prompt on AiSign.
• Step 4I: Click “Verify” to complete the setup.
• Note: When logging in, you’ll open the Google Authenticator app to retrieve the verification code.
